How Gorgeous? Belly Dance Maternity…Pretty Gorgeous and Hip, too.
When I visited Getting Gorgeous (so much fun) earlier this year, I met the super nice folks at Belly Dance Maternity (and their sister company Thread & Butter) and we chatted (you know I can chat). I loved the clothes from both of these companies, Belly Dance Maternity carries brands like Olian, NOM, Ripe Maternity, Ingrid & Isabel, Jules & Jim, Maternal America, JBrand Maternity, Paige Maternity, DL1961 Maternity, Citizens of Humanity Maternity, Michael Stars Maternity (and more) and Thread & Butter has great clothes for the curvy fashionista (more in another post).
Why am I talking about maternity clothes? Maybe I am a little envious of all the new cute gear for moms to be and new moms out there. Back in the day it was rough, you know, when ugly sailor dresses with bows ruled the planet? I exaggerate (but only slightly), and don’t get me started on all of the cool strollers and car seats. I won’t even begin to explain how rudimentary and non ergonomic things were. You wouldn’t believe me, anyway.
Because I am all about the share, even when it doesn’t benefit me (I know, right?), I have an easy giveaway for you. You’re welcome.
Win a $50 gift certificate from Belly Dance Maternity. Not pregnant? Not planning on it? Get it for a sister or a friend and stay tuned for a $75 giveaway from Thread & Butter next week! Love to share good finds!

I did not receive compensation for this post but I did get a super soft cotton tunic (that you can wear before, during and after pregnancy) to review which one of my girls co-opted as a dress for herself. Maybe I’ll see it again someday. Probably not, though. Check them out on Pinterest, too.
My best “keep cool” tip is loose flowly light fabrics!
popsicles!! That and splahing in the kiddie pool with my other tots.
fave tip to keep cool is wear very loose clothing

Ice water, cool loose clothes, don’t go out in the heat

i don’t have any tips b/c i failed miserably at keeping cool during my last pregnancy that lasted all summer lol. i would crank down the a/c to about 65 every night, turn on the ceiling fan and box fan and i would still wake up in a pile of sweat lol
Lay under the air conditioner vent in your underwear :)
Lots of ice!

Cold water, light dresses, and stayin inside in the a/c! :)
