My friends often make me laugh, listen when I am crabby (hardly ever), do me a favor (or let me do a favor for them) and very often inspire me. I was sent this video by a very good friend and it is wonderful. Inspiring, beautiful and something you can help make happen.[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vAVkv1LBx8%5D
Okay, maybe that is an understatement but how can you decide when there are so many amazing choices?
Here is a favorite site, Daisy Janie – I have had her on my favorites list for at least a year.
Another great, recent find from betz white which I have been thinking about all week.
betz white is involved in an Earth Day Organic Fabric Giveaway with 11 other fabulous fabric designers. They are shown here and listed below. Go to their sites to learn more – I am just a conduit to great fabric. Contest ends April 26, 2010.
Links to the generous and talented fabric designers in the giveaway:
Birch Fabrics Cloud9 Fabrics Cottage Industrialist Daisy Janie
Harmony Art Homesweet ink & spindle loop Monaluna
Swanky Swell Umbrella Prints
Not in the giveaway but the reason I found it – yummygoods from designer Melissa Averinos in her little shop on the Cape. I haven’t even scratched the surface of my favorite fabrics – there is more, much more!
I love this site Spoonflower where you can print custom fabric on demand. You are the designer and they make the fabric or you can browse their site for fabric – so much to choose from – I may never decide (this is, in fact, likely).
For Earth Day…umm, Week – here are some green sites that I really like. The flowers are on my front step, ready to be planted. This is a going to be a clean-up the yard and planting day. No perennials yet, too cold here.
Capability Green We found each other on Facebook because of the shared Capability thing. She has great recipes and a new blog. She posted about the hideous double down as well but is so amazing that she was inspired to make a black bean burger stuffed with spinach! Gorgeous photos and food.
Going Green Mama Just found this site – great tips on going green without going crazy – funny, great recipes, tips, links and give-aways.
TreeHugger – can’t get much greener than this site, and from National Geographic their Green Guide for Everyday Living. Happy Earth Day Week!
Best of the web food blogs awarded – Food & Drink, Life & Style – The Independent.
Our very favorite – smitten kitchen is there winning in two categories – best food photography and best individual post and another favorite, David Lebovitz (of Chocolate Idiot cake fame) for best baking and desserts blog.
I will check out the blogs I hadn’t yet found from their list – Congrats to all!
