you can give gifts, it is really easy to grab a gift card to a local book store gift card or one to a store that carries supplies for school, something related to their work (Art teacher – art supplies). Always welcome: cashmere scarves, sweaters, gloves, socks – fits the not too personal rule (include the gift receipt to be extra nice). Gather any paper you that like – wrapping or old books or cards. Tip: I like to put them in a folder in the basement so my very tidy spouse doesn’t mistakenly throw them away (invariably I forget where I put them, though so it’s the same as if they had been thrown out).
