Newton Open Studios
With 175 artists, Newton Open Studios is one of the largest and longest running open studio events in the region. Join the fun – Browse, explore, discover. Buy art and beautifully crafted objects directly from local artists. There are 45 pop-up exhibit/sales locations all across Newton. The event is free, all the locations have plenty of free parking, and many have handicap access. Look for the red balloons that mark the locations.
Event takes place April 5-6, Saturday & Sunday 11am to 5pm

Dozens of artists will show work, and dessert will be served courtesy of Whole Foods! Meet artists, pick up a Map & Guide, and see a sampling of work that will be on view during the NOS weekend. 7-8:30pm, 330 Homer Street, Newton Center.

Download a Map & Guide for Newton Open Studios from the website or pick one up at the Newton Free Library. Use the feature-packed website to search for art in 20 categories.
One of my favorite coffee/tea/lunch places (L’Aroma Cafe) is one of the locations. Try the mocha (melted chocolate – no syrup) or one of their wonderful teas. Great selection of baked goods, too (including an entire shelf of gluten-free options).
