The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts – Dear Future Governor Video Contest
The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts (LWVMA) invites all Massachusetts high school students to enter the “Dear Future Governor…” Student Video Contest.
The Massachusetts gubernatorial election is just months away! LWVMA is asking any Massachusetts high school students to submit a two-minute video to share with the new Governor. What a great opportunity for budding filmmakers, community organizers, high school clubs, or anyone who just wants to share an idea, issue or suggestion. Passionate about something but don’t think you have a voice? Here is your chance!
Suggestions from The Leaque of Women Voters of Massachusetts:
What do you want to tell the next Governor of Massachusetts?
What’s a big challenge or problem facing your community?
What should be on top of the next Governor’s agenda?
What solution would you suggest?
There are prizes, too. First place wins $1000; second place wins $500; and third place wins $250 AND the winning videos will be publicized and appear on the LWVMA website.
The contest is open to any Massachusetts high school student in grades 9-12.
Entries may be submitted online at http://www.lwvma.org from now until March 31, 2014. Judging will take place in April, and winners will be announced in May.
What can you do to help? Please forward this email to high school students, educators or anyone you think will be interested. Please download a flyer here to print and share. Follow the LWVMA on Facebook.
