Cloudy Lemonade For A Summer Day

I made this lemonade countless times last summer but forgot about it this year until I had a ton of lemons left over from an event. Sweet. I will have this chilling in the fridge in no time. Thank you to Nigella Lawson! Is my day all lemonade and backyard fun? No, not quite. I walked the dog, drove carpool, walked the dog again, washed an outside bench, wrote a bit, read a bit, played on line a bit, washed some more furniture, painted the mantel, read, fell asleep reading, made some lemonade, now I have to clean up all my in progress projects!
- 4 cups chilled club soda or other carbonated water
- 2 whole unwaxed lemons, cut into eighths
- 1/4 cup superfine sugar, or to taste
Put the water, lemons, and sugar into a blender in two batches, and run the blender until the lemon is pureed.
Use a sieve to strain the lemonade into a pitcher, pressing down into the sieve, and then pour into glasses filled with ice.
If you want pink lemonade, add a handful of raspberries to the blender – Enjoy!
