capability mom Here is my link from last year’s Father and Father-in-law Gifts because it gets searched all year – I guess everyone finds these gifts a challenge.

Do I have anything to add? New ideas? Sure.

More experience gifts like hiking, fishing, sporting events, concerts (classical, rock or pop -find his favorite).

Take a class together like black smithing, wood working, book binding, or a cooking class.

Share a hobby, stamp collecting, baseball cards collecting… you get the idea.

Pragmatic Mom is in charge of the Mother and Mother-in-Law side – Can’t wait to see her separate but equal gifts!

  1. Ooooh! Love the experience gifts! Blacksmithing!!! My husband would love that! Maybe for another person to gift for them and their dad as an outing. We don’t have any living grandfathers/father-in-laws unfortunately to do this ourselves.

  2. I hope you are going to do a day for gifts for 5 to 7 year olds. What an awkward age to shop for. Too old for Playskool too young for Pokemon. I am struggling for Christtmas this year!
