When I like something, I tend to talk about it a lot (heck, I tend to talk a lot anyway) and whether it is a kid’s camp, a service, a store or a brand…I like to share. Now I’ve been crushing on Newman’s Own Organics for some time. Love that they donate a percentage of profits to charity and that their products are top notch. What do we love? The green tea, cereal, cookies (chocolate chip hermits and fig bars are grocery staples here), popcorn (light butter) and coffee. Oh, yes, the coffee. I always have a bag of regular and decaf Newman’s Own in my fridge because it’s best when I pace myself with caffeine, really.
Imagine how happy I was (my frugal self) to find that McDonald’s is celebrating National Coffee Day (September 29) by giving New England customers free Newman’s Own coffee. A free small hot coffee? I’m there! When? Every day this week (9/24 -9/29) and for more coffee talk, McDonald’s and Newman’s Own is having a tasting in Vermont today at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters – can’t make it? Me either but we can check in online here at this LiveStream link to the tasting 10 am (EST) today (a virtual tasting for us – go grab a free coffee and meet me there) – if you have questions for founder Nell Newman or Green Mountain Coffee – ask away! You can also join on Twitter under the hashtag #McDCoffeeChat (follow the @McDEasternNE on Twitter, too).
Still too much? Out of the New England area? Check it out – free coffee for you anyway. McDonald’s is offering the readers of Capability Mom Blog a chance to win a free Keurig K-Cup Platinum Brewing System and, of course, some coffee to go with it (a 24 pack of Newman’s Own Organics Special Blend). Great! How to win? Fill out the easy Rafflecopter below. Contest ends Saturday, September 30, at 12:01 am.
I’m off to grab a cup of coffee and walk the dog – definitely in that order!

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. Many thanks to McDonald’s NE for providing the Keurig giveaway! Why “like” Boston Commercial Properties on Facebook? It’s my husband’s company and he gets all my deliveries so it is a way to say thanks.
