I practice social media and mess up my Twitter

How can you mess up Twitter? Well, you can. I was busy tweeting away and adding followers when I reached a limit so I thought -hmm…let’s unfollow some of those non-follow back types. Although I have looked at one forty and tried a few applications – some are really cool – look here at Twit Cleaner and Twitter Grader and even though I LOVE Hootsuite (I use it every day but I still haven’t figured out how to easily unfollow on it) and Listorious, the easiest way to unfollow is Twitter Karma (a free application that helps you manage Twitter). But here is the thing, you don’t unfollow you block people (per Twitter rules  there is no bulk unfollow, ask Twitter peeps) and I think that sounds mean so I don’t like to do it except yesterday I was on Twitter Karma kindly unfollowing people when I got a odd script message and that happened twice and then it was late and I was tired so …I blocked a bunch of people – very nice people, I am sure, who just did not follow me back so then I realized that I also lost some lists who were following me and that was really horrible because here were people nice enough to list me (if you are reading this and your eyes are glazing over – I apologize – skip to the end) and I deleted them. Wow. Am I a jerk on Twitter? Umm, no, but thanks. Twitter Grader above says I am fine (99 out of 100) and Twit Cleaner says I play well with others and am good just the way I am. Love algorithms that say nice things. Okay – am I done yet? Not yet. I then found on One Forty (great site – all Twitter applications in one place – most are free and there is a blog and lots of fun tools- sorry geeking out on twitter apps)  this site JustUnfollow which is nice and it works and I think I am going to say goodbye to Twitter Karma. Thanks, Twitter Karma! You were great when I started this but I think we have grown apart…
