Okay, I think from just the number of people who already visited my site yesterday that I may be on to something (grin). Desperate parents in search of Googly bands? Look no further! While I can’t get you any Googly bands, I can tell you about a cute contest for kids (and, no I did not score any free Googly bands, both Pragmatic Mom and I were shut out of the Twitter Mom link to get the bands and write about them).
The contest is open to children 5 and up (and everyone under 14 needs parental permission to submit a photo/design – click here for contest rules) to design a new Googly band.

Starting June 1st 2010 Imperial is accepting submissions for the first ever Googly® Band Design Contest! Top ten band designs will be posted on googlybands.com. Other Googly® Bands fans will get a chance to narrow down the top 10 designs to the top 3 designs by voting on googlybands.com on July 26- August 16. Imperial will select the final winning design eligible for development! Winner will receive recognition on googlybands.com, via Facebook and Twitter and a 50 dollar giftcard!
All submissions must be emailed to submissions@imptoy.com by midnight pacific time on July 18, 2010.
